Square Dance Music Producers Clearing House
The Music Producers' Clearinghouse is a cooperative venture of all participating square dance music producers. Its purpose is to prevent producers from accidentally undercutting each others' sales by releasing different versions of the same song at the same time. Songs intended for production are registered at the Clearinghouse, and by gentlemen's agreement will have a 12-month period in which other producers will refrain from producing the same song. Clearinghouse members can see the list of songs reserved by other producers, as well as place and edit their own reservations.
If you are a square dance music producer and are not already a member of the Clearinghouse, we invite you to submit a producer profile so that you can participate in the process. The first year's dues are $100, payable via PayPal; sustaining dues for subsequent years are $25.
